Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that promotes and accelerates the recovery of soft tissue injuries.
Developed over the past 20 years, Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT) is a method for the treatment of superficial orthopedic disorders. A projectile accelerated within the shockwave handpiece generates short, high frequency, high intensity shockwaves, or bursts of energy that radiate directly in to the injured area. These burst of energy provided by the applicator are absorbed by the tissue and break down scar tissue, increase local blood flow and stimulate the bodies natural response to provide healing and pain relief.
